The Financial Accountant is responsible for leading a team of senior bookkeepers and overseeing their daily tasks and ensuring all work is done timeously and accurately.
The FA will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses, budgets, forecasts and monitoring and reporting on accounting discrepancies.
They will also be required to have an extensive knowledge on managing and implementing BEE strategy.

Job Objectives:
– Assist with budget preparation
– Assisting with performing internal audits
– Assist with providing financial status information and assist with preparing special reports
– Assist with asset management
– Conducting cost & revenue analyses & report accordingly
– Quarterly in-depth analysis of budget vs actual expenditure and report on discrepancies
– Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
– Forecast costs and revenues
– Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
– Perform month-end and year-end close processes
– Implementing and managing the BEE strategy with our consultants, assist in BEE audits and verification
– Knowledge of withholding tax
– Providing whatever support is necessary to the accountants and finance team
